Kids Knitting and other Fiber Fun
Wednesdays 3:15-4:15 and 4:30-5:30 $15 per class.
Cindy Konrad works with kids 7 and up to learn the beautiful art of knitting. She is a Waldorf trained teacher among many other talents. This is a very sweet class, kids love having their fingers busy and great conversations are had while working side by side at their own pace with beautiful 100% wool in a rainbow of colors. Living on California’s beautiful central coast, she teaches painting, leads guided painting experiences outdoors in vineyards, and does custom work for residential and commercial use. Creative Circle will take place on Mondays 4-6pm. $20 for a two hour session: Bring whatever you're working on and enjoy the company of others simply sharing the energy and inspiration of a circle of artists! While this is not a class, Jeanne can provide basic materials for acrylic, oil pastel, silk or watercolor if you give her 24 hours notice (additional fee required). This class will focus on teaching your kids how to truly interact with the natural world. They will learn about various insects, animals, sea life, and about the edible, medicinal, and ethnobotanical uses of plants and seaweeds. We will spend our days hiking, playing, learning, observing, journaling, and creating.
Cost: $15 for pre registered students and $20 for drop in. Ages 8 and up only please. Your child will need a well fitting backpack and sturdy hiking shoes that they can put on themselves. Drop off will be at a different location each week.

For children ages 6 and up, participants will have opportunities for honing basic woodworking skills as well as plenty of stitching and gluing.
The seasons inspire the projects in this fun class. Fall included making felted spiders, stuffed pumpkins, spooky bats, seedpod mice, spinning tops, mini wooden catapults and garden art. Each week participants will be invited to develop a variety of skills as they hammer, sand, drill, stitch, felt, snip, glue and sculpt.
